Mobility is one of the basic human needs. Our desire to be mobile generates traffic in all its forms. With every adjustment, we expect favorable transport prices, fast accessibility and improved connectivity. Can this be reconciled? Should we adapt our mobility needs, manage traffic better, or both?

CAS ETH in Geoinformation Systems and Analyses

Theory and methodology in dealing with spatial data form the basis of the continuing education CAS ETH GIS. The aim of this CAS is to impart theory and process knowledge on modeling, acquisition, management, analysis and visualization of geodata. By means of a GIS project, the participants are to apply the knowledge to a current problem in a team. This should be accompanied by learning and applying project management. In addition, the choice of two continuing education modules is intended to create freedom for specific interests.

Housing Issues and Challenges in the Global South: Contributions of Architecture (D-ARCH, Wahlfach)

Can architecture, urban design and planning contribute to make housing and cities more equitable and inclusive? Answers to this question will be provided by socially engaged architects from Europe, Asia and Latin America through the presentation of concrete actions and projects.
