Dengyu Li

Dengyu Li is a visiting PhD student at ETH Wohnforum – ETH CASE since April 2024. He obtained his BSc Arch and MSc Arch degrees from Inner Mongolia University of Technology in China between 2010 and 2019. During his studies, he gained experience as an architect and researcher in architectural firms and asset management companies in Hohhot, Beijing, and Shenzhen, focusing on housing projects and community design. Since 2020, he has been pursuing his PhD at Southeast University in Nanjing, China. His doctoral research focuses on how design teaching and design studios can integrate practice, teaching, and research to bridge the gap between the academic nature of research universities and the profession of architectural education. As a practicing architect, he completed a boutique hotel in Inner Mongolia in 2023.
