Hannah Widmer is a PhD student at the ETH Housing Forum - ETH CASE and the University of Lausanne since June 2020. From 2012 to 2018, she studied sociology and economics at the University of Zurich and graduated with a master's thesis on heterogeneity and residential segregation in the city of Zurich. She then worked as a consultant and research assistant in the private sector before starting a PhD in Human Geography funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation in summer 2020.

In her work, Hannah Widmer addresses the issues of public space, diversity and segregation, urban qualities, and neighborhoods.
