Challenges and Potentials at the Interface of Housing Management and Residents

For Ageing in place (growing old at home) the hardware and software must be right. In concrete terms, this means: barrier-free housing and age-friendly living environments are needed, as well as services, support networks and technologies that meet the needs of older people and are affordable. This calls for sustainable business models that are geared to cooperation.

The Innosuisse project "Growing old at home" focuses on the challenges, opportunities and options for housing providers to provide age-appropriate housing and to deal with an elderly and aged tenant population. Within the framework of case studies and pilot projects, various concrete options for action were developed and tested with implementation partners.
The final report shows how housing providers can concretely implement and combine different options for action, what benefits result from this and what success factors and risks exist. A decisive focus is on the question of what kind of cooperation is possible with which actors - service providers, public authorities, local organisations, residents, etc.
