The 18th ETH Forum Wohnungsbau conference focuses on our future living spaces. Under the theme "MORE HOUSING IN CITIES ," experts discuss the opportunities and challenges related to housing and spatial planning in rapidly growing communities. Representatives from local governments, real estate experts, academics, and architects will address the question ‘How to achieve urban densification?’ by sharing their expertise and presenting solutions.
ETH Forum Wohnungsbau
First held in 2005, the full one-day expert symposium of the ETH Forum Wohnungsbau is the ETH Zurich’s foremost event on the topic of habitation and housing and urban development, and is widely valued as a compact programme of advanced education. The symposium is held every spring in Zurich. The aim of the event is, against the background of the interplay of academic findings and professional practice and by using guiding examples, to demonstrate and discuss the most current transformations in housing development and the relevant trends in urban-planning.
The symposium boasts renowned panels and serves as a platform and a meeting point for decision-makers in the fields of property development, architecture and construction, as well as federal, cantonal and local-level officials. It regularly attracts a wider public of up to 300 people from Switzerland and abroad.
